Join Google Classroom, click on student, then click on the + at the top of the page and enter code XSXSJ.
All students should have an accessible google account that they can access google drive and apps using a password. (See instructor immediately if you can not access your google account.) . |
Read over the Guidelines, Expectations and Rubrics for this course. Complete the I Can Do That - Tech Survey found in the 1st announcement in Google Classroom. |
Kaagan Structure/IceBreaker Activity - Three Questions:
Instructions - Group students together (4 per group) by passing out chips colored (blue, red, green, yellow and orange) - move to form groups according to color. Pair up with shoulder partner. One minute will be on displayed timer. Students will need to interview the shoulder partner to the right by asking the questions below . Students may take notes as they interview. Another minute will be displayed as the opposite partner will now get to interview their shoulder partner to the left. Again students may note answers to questions. Then each student will introduce the partner they interviewed to the class by stating their name and their answers of the questions. Questions include:

Lesson 2 - Google Classroom
Work on the first assignment in Google Classroom. Use the I AM Poem, the Creative Commons site for background pictures and Google Slides to complete this project.
This first assignment will introduce collaboration into the course as you will use Google Slides to create a series of I AM Poem, in the ALL About Me Slideshow. |
Instructor will cover the following concepts prior to the task in class.
- Opening up the classroom assignment and getting started
- Creating your poem, copying it, and pasting it to your slide
- Searching in Creative Commons and why.
- Finding a picture and copying the image url, then inserting it into your slide, showing order and overlaying text and helping it to stand out.
Lesson 3 - Google Classroom
Please do the Scavenger Hunt below with a partner - however, everyone will turn in a worksheet. This worksheet and presentation can be found in Google Classroom.
